A Moment
My sister Charlene and me.
I wasn’t sure if I wanted to post this. One reason is I do not want to come across as focusing on me and another reason is, I kind of didn’t want to be fussed over. But this was so dear to me that I wanted to share it. Today is my birthday, I am 38. I do not care about age. I love the age that I am, I am not afraid of numbers. Well, as I posted yesterday, Jeff and I have been working on cleaning some boxes out. We do this ever so often and I take advantage of it. Jeff keeps everything, so when he is in the mood to clean house I go for it. But back on the subject at hand. I found this box with all of the photo albums in it. I was so excited, as I looked through them. I stumbled on this picture of my sister and I. This picture is so dear to my heart. My sister Charlene and I are eighteen months apart from each other. My mother, who I guess always wanted twins, dressed my sister and I up in the same clothes all the time. So one year she had these dressed made for Charlene and I. We even had the old fashioned boots. Those were my favorite. My sister and I are not really close, we seem to fight so much. I love her so much, and she just wont let go of past things. But, I know I love her, that is another reason why this picture is so dear to me. This other picture is of me, I think I was in the fourth grade. I still can not get over that blond hair. I know it looks red, but I was a blond. I am not an auburn/gray. I use to look at these pictures and cringe on how my life was. But, through Jesus, I look at these picture and I focus on the good. I even tear up a little when I see pictures of my mother. I love her so much, I am blessed even more with a step mother and a wonderful mother in law. When I finally let go and let God, He filled my heart with all kinds of wonderful memories and love. So, I want to invite you to celebrate life with me today, not just because it is my birthday, but because we have something so special, that it makes any gift look tiny. That special gift is the love and grace of Jesus Christ, and it should be celebrated every day. Love all of you and I was so happy to share some memories with you. Love Tanya
