Matthew 25:35-36
“I was hungry and you gave me meat, I was thirsty and you gave me a drink, I was a stranger and you took me in, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was prision and you came unto me.”
I have been doing a morning bible study on Monday mornings with a bunch of wonderful women. We are doing a book by Bruce Wilkinson, “A Life God Rewards”. I have always been alittle confused on the prosperity, but as I have been doing this study I have seen the rewards that God has for me and the prosperity that comes with it. I have realized that I have to do the things above and through that I will prosper. Not through financial prosperity, but through furthering God’s Kingdom. See, God is not so worried about us prospering on earth. Every person that we take care of here on earth, God will use to further or store up treasures for us in heaven. We are not to focus on finance or getting richer here on earth, that is where we get into problems with making money evil. God said that we should not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself. We are to take care of the lost, the children that fell away from God and each other. We are to bless one another. As we bless one another, God is able to work in other people’s life. I believe blessing one another is just what the scripture above states. We are not to fret or make money a big deal. I know in my heart that I will never be a millionair or someone with lots of money. First of all, I do not want alot of money, I want to use the resources that God gave me to bless others. Secondly, I have not been really good with money, and until I get it, God is not going to give it. I need to focus on what God has given me and use it to further His Kingdom. I choose to feed someone, or clothe someone etc. This will further His kingdom, and personnal, I am not sure I even am comfortable with building up rewards. I want to do it to spread God’s word. Actions are so much louder than words. I want my actions to further God’s kingdom. That is really important to me. I hope that you will be able to get into this series or read the book. It really puts a wonderful twist on prosperity. You are God’s child and you are desten to do His will. God bless all of you, Love Tanya

You are furthering His kingdom! More than you can even imagine! Keep up the good work!
I feel the same way as you about money. We will never be rich and that is fine with me because I feel that I am already rich with all that God hasa given me : good health, a loving husband, a wonderful extended family, healthy children, etc.. to me this makes me pretty rich.
Thanks for a great post.
Awesome post…
I love God’s prosperity in EVERYTHING that enrichens my life, not just my checking account.
loving you
That is so true Heidi, Susan and Lori. Money is not evil, it is how we look at money. If we put finances above our beautiful Creature then it becomes evil. Seeing God in everything is beautiful. Love all of you, Tanya
Love your post! Prosperity is in the eye of the beholder. To the world, I look to be one of the poorest people, but I feel like I am one of the richest. I have seen people who are monetarily wealthy and yet, they are some of the poorest people I have ever met. I, too, wish to further His kingdom. He has given me ‘riches’ that money could never buy:)
Love ya!!!
Dear Tanya.. Thank you for all the comments you post on my blog… You really make me feel so excited. I wish we could exchange emails or so… giving comments are really hmm public… some things i wanna share you know…
There was this sermon i heard when i was a very young christian. He said that God’s already supplied our needs before the need comes to us supplied. Just means that God is more than enough.. He anticipates our needs…
And so many christians… people I know… worry more about the needs here, than the ultimate purpose… we worry so much about living here on earth.. even i do… and i guess.. Its a really sorry thing to do… because God isnt satisfied by how great we become on earth. It doesnt please him… Living here on earth for Him and only for HIm… changes however
